Our customers demand on stitching wire have increased continuously in recent years.
High speed printing machinery and stitchers require a precision drawn stitching wire for a trouble free production.
Stitching wire made by Dorstener Drahtwerke meets these requirements.
The stitching wire is available as round or flat wire.
The surface is nowadays mostly galvanized but the stitching wire is also available as bright drawn or coppercoated.

POWERBIND™
POWERBIND™ is the result of several years of intensive research and development by Dorstener Drahtwerke. In co-operation with customers and manufacturers of stitching machines we have developed a wire with qualities that are very advantageous for stitching.
POWERBIND™ offers:
- Accurate staples
Accurate staples improve the quality and the production performance during the finishing process.
- Solving stitching problems by way of a stiffer wire
POWERBIND™ is more flexible since a larger number of sheets can be stitched together with the same wire diameter. It is not necessary to change wire diameters for different productions.
- Economic advantages
POWERBIND™ reduces material costs by decreasing the wire diameter and obtain more staples per kilo wire.
Less downtime and fewer set up operations.
Lower stock costs since it is not necessary with so many different wire diameters.
POWERBIND™ can replace more expensive wire.
- Reducing stacking height
Since it is possible to use a thinner POWERBIND™ wire than a standard wire, the height on the stackings of the printed products decreases and the packing lines work better.

12 mm reduced stacking height with POWERBIND™.
